Six decisions made before the first call.

Lake-area consideration: Traffic control on public roads, police direction, public parking and private-property towing involve different authority. The plan covers only the property and services the organizer is legally authorized to control.

Sign planning & installation

Walk the event footprint, public entrances, temporary lots, emergency routes, vendor access and nearby private parcels. Temporary directions must not conflict with permanent signs or property boundaries.

Who may authorize a tow

The venue owner and event organizer identify the on-site contacts who may request service and establish who has final authority if instructions conflict.

How enforcement calls are handled

The designated parking or security contact reports the vehicle, zone and operational problem. Dispatch coordination should use a known entrance and a safe meeting point away from pedestrian flow.

Documentation provided

Records can include the requesting contact, vehicle, event zone, reason, time and photographs appropriate to the call.

What happens after removal

Organizers receive the contact and release information to publish in the event plan. Vehicle owners follow Camden County Tow’s applicable storage and release process.

Warnings & grace periods

Announcements, windshield notices, a correction window or closing-time deadline may be appropriate for some event issues. Emergency routes and active operational obstructions may require immediate escalation under the approved plan.

Jurisdiction review

No one-size-fits-all legal shortcut.

Missouri law, including RSMo §304.158, and any applicable municipal rules must be considered for the exact property. Ownership, posted entrances, accessible spaces, fire routes and the reason for removal can affect the correct procedure.

How early should an event plan be arranged?

Before signs, maps and attendee instructions are finalized. Early review makes it easier to correct entrances, zones and contact procedures.

Can temporary signs be used?

Temporary event directions may be part of the plan, but applicable legal signage and property requirements must still be reviewed.

Who calls during the event?

Only the organizer’s or venue’s named contacts should request service.

Can you tow from public streets?

This private-property program does not give an event organizer authority over public streets. Public-road issues should be handled by the responsible government or law-enforcement authority.
