Keep ramps, slips and trailer areas moving

Marina Parking & Boat-Trailer Enforcement

Marina parking is part vehicle lot, part loading zone and part boat-launch operation. We help marina decision-makers separate customer parking, trailer storage, ramp access and restricted working areas with a practical enforcement plan.

Designed forMarina owners, dockmasters, general managers and specifically designated operations staff.

Common parking pressure

Problems this program can address.

The property chooses which rules it is authorized to enforce. These are common planning topics—not automatic reasons to remove a vehicle.

01

Vehicles or trailers blocking launch access

02

Unregistered overnight parking

03

Customer spaces used by non-customers

04

Vehicles obstructing fuel, service or emergency routes

Your enforcement playbook

Six decisions made before the first call.

Lake-area consideration: Peak boating weekends create sharp arrival and departure waves. A workable plan needs separate rules for tow vehicles, connected trailers, empty trailers and short-term ramp loading.

01

Sign planning & installation

Map land entrances, launch approaches, trailer rows, customer areas, fuel access and service lanes. Signs should make the different rules visible before a driver commits to a ramp or restricted area.

02

Who may authorize a tow

Only the owner or marina personnel named in the property agreement may request service. The plan should state whether dock staff, security or after-hours managers are included.

03

How enforcement calls are handled

The authorized caller identifies whether the issue involves a passenger vehicle, attached trailer or standalone trailer and reports access conditions before equipment is dispatched.

04

Documentation provided

Records can document the request, vehicle and trailer identifiers, parking location, posted zone, access problem and photographs taken as part of the service process.

05

What happens after removal

Removed property is handled through the applicable storage and release process. Marina management receives the documentation needed for its records and can send owner inquiries directly to Camden County Tow.

06

Warnings & grace periods

A marina may use seasonal permits, guest registration, warning stickers or time-limited loading grace periods. Safety and ramp-access violations may follow a different response rule.

Jurisdiction review

No one-size-fits-all legal shortcut.

Missouri law, including RSMo §304.158, and any applicable municipal rules must be considered for the exact property. Ownership, posted entrances, accessible spaces, fire routes and the reason for removal can affect the correct procedure.

Camden County Tow confirms the property setup, authorized contacts and service procedure before enforcement begins. This page is general service information, not legal advice or blanket authorization to remove a vehicle.

Marinas

Property-specific questions.

Can you address vehicles and boat trailers?

The property review can cover both, but equipment needs depend on the vehicle or trailer configuration. Describe exactly what is present when calling.

Can we require marina parking permits?

The marina controls its parking policy. We can structure the enforcement process around the property’s documented permit or registration rules.

Who can call after hours?

The marina chooses its designated contacts in advance, including any approved after-hours manager or security representative.

Do you review sign placement?

Yes. The free evaluation examines entrances, trailer zones, ramp approaches and other controlled areas.
