Accident Recovery & Collision Towing

After a collision, personal safety comes before vehicle removal. Once emergency needs are addressed, Camden County Tow can evaluate towing or recovery for a damaged vehicle and coordinate an appropriate destination.

Quick answer

Call 911 first for injuries, blocked traffic or immediate danger. For owner-requested collision towing or recovery, call Camden County Tow at 573-316-5005 with the crash location and vehicle condition.

First steps after a crash

Check for injuries, call 911 when appropriate and move away from traffic if it is safe. Follow law-enforcement directions at the scene. Do not attempt to move a vehicle with damaged steering, wheels, suspension, leaking fluids or deployed safety systems unless directed by emergency personnel.

Owner-requested and police-directed towing

The scene may be managed by law enforcement, or the vehicle owner may be able to request a towing company. Tell us whether officers are present and whether a specific tow process has already been directed.

Recovery beyond the pavement

A vehicle on a shoulder, embankment, ditch or soft ground may require recovery before it can be loaded. Vehicle position, traffic, terrain, damage and safe equipment access determine the approach.

Choose the next destination

Have the repair shop, residence, storage location or other permitted destination ready. Confirm whether the location can receive a damaged vehicle, especially after business hours. Retrieve essential documents or property only when the scene is safe and authorized.
